Day 35 #73

Today's thing is "every kid should blow soap bubbles". So Kelli and I pulled out our dish soap, Karo syrup, water, and food coloring and made some green bubbles (green just happens to be my favorite color). We used some straws that we had to blow the bubbles until Kelli had this idea to put our straws in cups with a cloth on the end of it. It made these huge piles and streams of bubbles. This was very easy to do and we had a lot of fun doing it!

My awesome pile of bubbles, and ya I am standing on a chair, touching the ceiling.

Kelli's bubble stream, she is also standing on a chair.

Day 34 #14

Today's thing is "every kid should go to a museum". This was great because going to the museum counted for my class as well. We went to the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art on campus because my class required that the museum be an art museum. It was actually really cool. They had this skeleton made of mirrors they had it hanging upside down in its own little corner so that it reflected the light like a disco ball. They also had a exhibit made with wooden shoes like the ones from Holland, and they had them hooked up so that if you put a quarter in a machine the shoes starting playing a tune. It was actually really cool and a lot of fun!

This was my favorite the music playing wooden clogs.

This picture does not do the skeleton justice. It was seriously like a disco ball in it's own little corner. It was sweet!!

This was just a cool ceramic teapot there.

P.S. I found out after we went that you are not suppose to take pictures of the exhibits. . .oops.

Day 33 #70

Today's thing is "every kid should learn to appreciate the different abilities of people". For this one we decided to go to an event that is not appreciated by many people at least not here in the United States. I happen to coach the men's volleyball club team here at Utah State and men's volleyball is generally not appreciated here in the United States. Which is why there are only about 34 NCAA sponsered Men's volleyball teams in the country, most of which are in California. Anyways so Kelli came and hung out with me while I coached my guys at a tournament we had in Logan this last weekend. I forgot to take my camera, but I did get one on my phone so it is not the best picture but. . .

I have two teams an A team and a B team and this was actually both of my teams playing against each other.

Day 32 #71

Today's thing was every kid should be taken for a pajama ride". Well, seeing how Shan and I were both in our pajamas by 8 o'clock tonight, we decided that tonight would be a perfect night for a pajama ride, so that is what we did. We jumped in my car and headed out first we drove to the south end Wendy's and got some frosty and fries and then we drove over to Zeppe's (the most amazing custard and frozen water ice place ever! Like I go there at least two times a week . . .). At Zeppe's we actually went in in our pajamas and sat there and visited for a while as we enjoyed our treats. This is at least a 20 minute round trip but SO worth it and way fun to enjoy in our pajamas!

Chillin in our pajamas at Zeppe's

Day 31 #5

Today's thing was "every kid should play in the bathtub until their skin wrinkles". I came home from school and took a nap and then when I got up Shan went to volleyball so we were a little short on time. When she got home I left her a note that said that she needed to get her swimsuit on and not complain or ask questions. While she was getting dressed I popped some popcorn and got my computer ready and broke the news to Shan. We were having a movie party . . . in the bathtub! So that is exactly what we did! Popcorn, candy, and drinks in hand we were ready to party. So there we sat in the tub getting wrinkly for over an hour and a half. We did have to heat up the water a few times but it was definitely fun!

Getting ready to watch the movie

Our fingers all wrinkly!

Day 30 #28

It is hard to believe that we have already done 30 of our 101 things. Today's thing is "every kids should help bake a cake from scratch and then lick the frosting bowl". This was one of my favorites because I like to bake and I love to eat. We decided to make better than sex cake, which is one of my favorite cakes. In keeping with the thing we had to make the cake mix from scratch, which I had never done before, but it was not too hard. Kelli also made the caramel that goes in the holes from scratch as well. As usual it was a lot of fun and our cake turned out pretty good, it was a little dry in certain places where the caramel did not soak in (which is why I would suggest using a cake box and making sure you have lots of holes). If you have some time you should definitely make this cake because it really is good.

Taking the egg cracking seriously.

Licking the beaters!

Our Finished Project

*Kel here butting in . . . Shan apparently forgot to mention that while making the cake we had a few adventures. . . like she burned up the beaters! haha! It would be somewhat funny and I would harass her more about it if they weren;t alread on the verge of going out, and if I hadn't messed up the caramel sauce. It called for brown sugar and I decided to use white. . . it still worked out though!

My Self Portrait

So here is my self portrait. . .

Day 29 #41

Today's thing is "every kid should create a self-portrait". Weeeeeeelllll . . . since I am NOT an artist and all you would get from me is a stick figure I cheated a little bit. When I applied to be a student teacher I had to create an autobiography of myself and so that is what I present before you today. This is more of a self portrait of me then what you would have gotten if I actually tried to draw it.

Dear Shan. . .

Dear Shan,
I felt as if I should let you know that I made Ace really mad today, and by that I mean . . .I almost killed him.
Love you!
~kel

Day 28 #. . .

So today's thing is "every kid should have a dream and a grown up who believes in that dream." This is a little too late to be talking about dreams because some of my childhood dreams have already come true. One of my dreams was to be the first woman ever to play in the NBA. As you can tell that did not happen. I also wanted to be an actress, but I found early in life that I don't do well speaking in front of crowds. However, I always wanted to get an athletic scholarship to play in college like my older brothers, in that dream I succeeded. My dreams for the future are pretty practical, I would say. I want to go to Greece, New Zealand, Australia, and pretty much everywhere (okay so that one is not so practical). I also want to get my masters degree in school counseling so that I can be a high school counselor as well as coach volleyball. I also at some point want a family. I want to go bungee jumping and skydiving. I want to have some struggles and some good times too. I want to be debt free but mostly I just want to be happy.

Day 28 #101

Today's thing is "every kid should have a dream for the future and an adult who believes in that dream". In this one, I feel as if I get to play both the kid and the adult. I do have a dream for the future, and I most certainly do believe in myself and I hope that there are others out there who do to. I actually have several dreams some are long term dreams and others are just short termed dreams.

For instance:
I have a dream of finishing student teaching alive and still eligible to be a teacher.
I have a dream of figuring out my life before May 7 when I am completely forced in to doing so.
I have a dream of making it one whole week without sugar again.
I have a dream of catching up on my student teaching journal.

On the more long term side:
I have a dream of getting a letter from one of my students one day telling me that I had a profound positive effect on their life.
I have a dream of having my own family and of being a good wife and mom.
I have a dream of accomplishing not only this list, but my long term bucket list.

See I have several dreams, and I know that they are all accomplishable and that someday I will succeed. I am the adult that believes in my dreams!

Day 27 #85

Today's thing is "every kid should have a pen pal". This sounded all great and fun in theory but as we got on the websites to try and find a pen pal we could write to, we quickly figured out that we either needed to be under the age of twelve or ready to have a creeperistic mystery man write to us. . .we chose neither. However, 110% determined to do every one of these things I quickly came up with a new solution. . .we would be each others pen pals!

While we are the bestest of friends and we have lived together for a while I feel as if there are tidbits of our childhood that we are missing out on, so now we will have the chance to write each other about them and other fun random bits.

I took the liberty of making us mailboxes so that we don't have to use postage and drudgingly wait for the other one to remember to actually not only find a stamp, but also remember to mail it.

Since I am the one home this weekend and by the mailboxes, I wrote the first letter. Imagine if you will the typical first letter that a nine year old would write a pen pal and pretty much you have what I wrote. haha! This shall be one great adventure!

Day 26 #76

Today's thing is "every kid should go on a scavenger hunt". With this one we needed some creative individuals to help us out. So I asked my friends Holly and Cameron to write us up some clues for a scavenger hunt. They did ten items that we had to document with our camera. It was probably one of our funnest things yet. Thanks Holly and Cam, we had a blast!!!
Here are the clues see if you can figure them out:
1. To become an ultimate Aggie that is legit (my favorite word) you strip off the clothes and on him sit (keeping your clothes on we will permit.
2. Since you hated Mockingjay (a book) perhaps you'll like a "bluebird" and eat a piece of chocolate, not a yucky turd.
3. Kissing on the "A" involves a bit of danger, but not with somebody you know, but with a TOTAL STRANGER!!!!
4. This is one task, at which you are a slammerin' go and find the best lookin' look alike of Cameron (funny inside story that is way to long to explain).
5. Get a scoop of minty frozen Aggie treat so blue, and stick your front teeth into it upon the camera's cue.
6. Right in front of where the football players like to run, go and shake the statue hand of Merlin Olsen.
7. Get a picture of sticker bragging that it's "clean" just talk ole' Angie out of it without being mean
8. Go to the seat where Wild Bill does the truggle shuffle, and take pic without joining the player's schuffle.
9. Make yourself an angel, in eight inches of snow avoid it getting in your pants, if you can, yo!
10. Go to Lees, Smiths, Freshmarket or maybe even Wal-Mart, and act like you're an invalid and ride inside a cart.
Extra Credit:
Go in reverse through a drive through, and order just a water, be careful not to hit the building, we do not want a slaughter.

P.S. The Cameron look alike that works at Quizno's was not working so we did not do that one, but we did drive through Quizno's drive through backwards.

Day 25 #7

Today was one of those days! That resulted in today's project to be very impromptu due to the fact that I have an amazing roommate/best friend!

Today's thing turned out to be "every kid should receive notes of support, encouragement, or just because." I had a horrible day at school today. It was stressful, exhausting, overwhelming, tiring, and any other synonym you could possibly think of that goes with those words. My fifth graders had their maturation program today so that was all that they could think about of focus on today and so it was a SUPER unproductive day. I felt like I was totally talking to the wall. Nonetheless all of the above put me in a very grumpy mood and I was in NO mood to deal with anyone tonight after I got home. I came home and decided that nap would probably be my best option. Weeeeeelllll . . . .five hours later I woke up feeling only slightly better. I groggily got up and saw sitting on my floor a lovely note from Shan. I hadn't even opened it and I was already smiling, the envelope alone was good enough for me! However, I did open the note and it said just what I needed to hear. The best part is that Shan didn't even know the half of what my day entailed and just how bad of a day I was having. To sum it up I pretty much have THE absolute most amazing best friend in the world!

Thanks Shan! I love you!

P.S. Stay tuned for Shan's post on #7, someday when I can be just as good of a friend as she is.

Day 24 #8

Today's thing was "every kid should catch snowflakes on his tongue and eyelashes". Well this morning as of 10:00 AM I stood in 55 degree weather and this is not what we had planned for today. However, at 6:00 when the snowstorm hit and we got 6 inches dumped on us in less than four hours that all changed. It was absolutely beautiful outside as we let the snow fall on our tongue and eyelashes. Naturally, while we were out there we had to have a little snowball fight. Most unfortunately Shan was definitely the winner. She totally nailed me in the ear . . .several times.

Day 23 #39

Today's thing is "every kid should attend a live performance". This one worked out really nice because for one of my classes I have to attend performances so this was like a two for one. Not only did it fulfill my class requirement but it also fit in to one of our 101 things. We decided to attend a performance put on by the school featuring the Vienna Piano Trio. They are from Vienna obviously and they have a pianist, a violinist, and a cellist. We did not really know what to expect so we were pretty optimistic going it to it, but in the end it was really bad. First of all we have never been to something like this so we did not realize that three songs with four movements for each song would last two hours. Not only that but they came in and warmed up with two songs for twenty minutes before they even started playing the first song. Also you are not suppose to clap in between movements because they actually stop between movements, but it is okay to clap at the end of each song, but it is hard to tell which is which. So basically Kelli and I were so confused as to what was happening because sometimes the audience would clap and sometimes they weren't. Moral of the story is that if this had not been for our 101 things and my class we would never have gone and we will probably never go again.

Kelli and I before the performance began.
Two hours later. . .

I believe at one point I compared the performance to being in a concentration camp.

Day 22 #Kelli is LAME!

So, today is in fact Day 22, and it is Valentine's Day. We had a thing planned for today, but I came home completely exhausted from school and a Valentine's party with 35 fifth graders, and I fell asleep at 7 and didn't wake up again until 7 the next morning. Yes, this would mean that we skipped a day, but never you fear we will make it up again someday soon! Until then HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

O and P.S. Please don't comment on the trend or fact that it is always my fault that we are never on track . . . I feel bad enough!

Day 21 #93

Today's thing was "every " Well, much like yesterdays post because we live on our own this is something that we do everyday anyways. However, for the sake of the blog this time we took pictures (and we spent a little extra time plating the food too). We decided to make chiken cresant roll-ups with gravy. These are super easy to make and way good. We got the croissants made rolled and put in the oven and I wen t upstairs to finish getting ready for a firside tonight so I put Shan in charge of making the gravy. She was all sorts of worried that she would mess it up since she had never made it before. I reassured her tha it would be ok and that she couldn't mess it up because it was simply a can of cream of chicken soup and half a can of milk. Well. . . . apparently I was wrong! All of the sudden I hear Shan yelling that I needed to come down stairs. When I go there she told me that she had messed up and put in water instead of milk. haha! Ya I can see how you could easily mix those two up. . . Anyways we just decided that it made it more dietetic. As you can see from the pictures the food turned out great!

Us making the chicken croissants (we had a fireside to go to hence the clothes).

Our awesome plated dinner (Shan is not a fan of salad so she had a lot of carrots instead).

Saturday, February 12, 2011

Day 20 #94

Today's thing is "every kid should do chores around the house without being paid". Well seeing as how we live on our own, we don't get paid for doing chores around the house anyways. We also did not get paid to do chores when we were children living in our parents home so this was pretty simple. For my chores today I vacumed the house and unloaded and loaded the dishwasher and wiped off the counters. I don't have pictures because I had no one to take pictures, also I clean in spandex and a T-shirt so I don't know how appropriate that would be, we are a family blog after all.

Day 18 and 19 #19 and #63

We are a few days behind, as my sister reminded me, but Kelli went home for the day on Thursday day 18 so with did day 18 and 19 yesterday.

So today's thing (Day 18) is "every kid should have a favorite book or bedtime story". For this one Kelli and I decided to read each other our favorite bedtime stories. My favorite bedtime story is You Are Special by Max Lucado. I love this book and it always makes me feel better.

Kelli's favorite book is actually a couple of different books written by the same author who Kelli actually knows. The author is Gary Hogg and he has Happy Hawk Golden Thought Books. His books are "The Lion Who Couldn't Roar" " I Heard of a Nerd Bird" "Lizzie Learns about Lying" "Friendship in the Forest" "The Half-Hearted Hare" and "Sir William the Worm". Each has a good value and lesson to be learned.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today's thing (Day 19)is "every kid should have a secret hideout". Well Kelli and I decided that we should each find our own secret hideout. Because they are secret we can't really tell you were they are but I will tell you that mine has a beautiful view.
*I (Kelli) will also tell you that mine also has a beautiful view and it has become one of the main reasons I want to stay in Logan. It is WAY to great to leave it behind! It is my place were I can go and escape everything and just think.
Wednesday, February 9, 2011
Day 17 #10
Today's thing is 'every kid should own one really fun piece of clothing'. This could not have come at a better time. This weekend I have a banquet to go to and Kelli is starting out her student teaching and applying for jobs, so we both decided we deserved a new outfit. So we went to Ross Dress For Less (my favorite store, because it is cheap). At Ross you have to dig to find the good stuff, but once you find it the digging is so worth it because you find something you love for super cheap. I was originally looking for a brown shoulder shrug thing, but I found this white dress that I could just not pass up. Kelli found this great black dress with a belt that she can wear to teach in. We are both VERY happy with our fun piece of clothing!
I look like a giant in this photo which I kind of am (with these shoes on I am about 6'5") but Kelli is taking the picture from laying on the ground so. . .
Kelli totally stole the green shirt underneath the dress without asking. . .but luckily I am nice. Plus it does not fit me anyways, so I ended up giving it to her because it looked so cute!
Tuesday, February 8, 2011
Day 16 #9
So today's thing is 'every kid should write a thank-you note of gratitude to a relative or teacher'. There is not a lot we can tell you about this one because it is kind of personal, but we will tell you who we wrote them to. I actually wrote a couple of thank you notes that I plan on giving to my volleyball coaches at Utah State. Kelli wrote hers to an old high school teacher. We basically chose to thank them because they really helped us out in our lives in some way or another, and I think that is pretty much all we can say.
Day 15 From My View
So . . .the highlights from my memory letter from the last year. . . In January I finally gave myself a break and I only took one, yes ONE class for Spring semester. In March I was accepted into the Elementary Education program at USU and got an expected graduation date of May 2011! In April due to me not having classes I jumped on a plane and headed to California for a random week of fun. During the summer I ended up taking twelve credits and working a lot so my summer was rather long and boring. In August I finally had my dreaded 24th birthday and started school. Why was I dreading 24th birthday? I don't know but I was and it passed, so we are all good. The first ten weeks of my semester was spent sitting eight hours a day in a classroom. On October 28th I walked out of my final instructional college class ever. The following Monday I started student teaching at Woodruff and LOVED every second of it. Just before Thanksgiving I lost me sweet Grandma Babbitt so that resulted in an extended Thanksgiving break. My amazing Aunt Karen and her daughter Sam were here for Thanksgiving and for the storm of the century that came on Saturday. I actually got snowed in in Oakley! Christmas came and was truly amazing. It was nice to get to just hang out with me family and not have to worry about anything, especially since the following week I finished out my career (for now) as a dispatcher by working 54 hours in one week! And that is my year in a semi-short nutshell.
Day15 #45
So I am writing this a day late, so pretend that today is Monday instead of Tuesday. Today's thing is "every kid should write a 'memory letter' every year". Basically we are suppose to write a letter to ourself of a timeline of the last year to remind us what happened during that year. There was to much in my letter to recreate it here so I am going to give a quick run down and Kelli will do the same with her life in her own post.
The Year 2010
January-May: Nothing significant just school, winter conditioning/spring season for volleyball.
May 20-24: Every year my family goes to Moab UT to go jeeping in our jeeps over memorial day weekend. It is my favorite family vacation and I look forward to it every year.
June 6: Turned 22
July-August: I coach volleyball camps in the summer for some extra money. I went to Wright, WY., Montrose Co., and Boise, ID.
August-December: Volleyball season. My life pretty much spent traveling every other weekend playing volleyball. Throw in school here and there plus practices. Most important thing was we won the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) championship which gave us an automatic bid to the NCAA championship tournament. It was the highlight of my senior year as well as my college career.
December 25: Christmas. Not as big a deal as when you are a kid but it is a good excuse to get out of school and get some new clothes.
Well that was my 2010 year in a nutshell.
Same Day Different Poster #95
So as Shan mentioned today was "every kid should spend time alone". Well, as much as I have loved the knew adventures that this blog has come with I really loved today! Back in May I started this thing where one day every month I would turn off my phone and disconnect from reality. Sometimes I would do it for the whole day other times just for a few hours. This would be what I would call me "Kelli Time" where I would reconnect with myself and get my crazy feet back on the ground. For the last few months I have been too busy to indulge in these days, but that was definitely what I did today. It started out really slow by me just laying in my bed and thinking. After my think time was over I read from "Wicked" for a while. I lazed about for a good portion of the day and loved it. I finally reconnected with my toes that have been abandoned for months and I glitterized them! It now makes me so badly want summer and to go barefooted all day long. While I did spend a good portion of my day alone it wasn't all fun and games because I have lesson plans to prepare and a big project I am working on, but the time that I did have to be alone and laze about was VERY much enjoyed. I think this is one that I wouldn't mind repeating a few times!
Day 14 #Not sure. . .kel help me out here
So today's thing is 'every kid should spend time alone'. So Kelli and I will be posting separately to tell what we did alone. I went home this weekend and I was fortunate to have my parent's house to myself this morning. I started my alone time by practicing my piano. I am a terrible piano player which is sad because my mom is a piano teacher, but when I was younger going out and playing basketball in my driveway was a lot more fun. Now however, I am wishing I had practice a little bit more (just a little). Anyways I am learning A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton and I have the first of six pages learned although I doubt you would be able to figure out what song I was suppose to be playing. It will probably take me the rest of the semester to get the first page perfect. The majority of my alone time was spent reading. I love to read I always have. Right now I am reading a book I loaned from a friend called Fablehaven it is a pretty easy read and I am about half way through it and I just started yesterday. I am always reading a book so I thought I would put a list of my favorites in case you are looking for a good book:
Anything from Dan Brown, especially Angels and Demons
Harry Potter Series
Anything from John Grisham, my favorite is The Client
The Influencer
Mind Gym
The Last Lecture
Man's Search for Meaning
Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey (seriously changed my life)
Anything from Jane Austen, Emma is my favorite
The Bourne Series (way better than the movies, although what book isn't)
As you can see I like to read pretty much anything, so if you haven't read these you should definitely check them out, and spend your time alone reading! Plus I swear people who read a lot are just naturally smarter, or at least that is what I like to think. . .
Day 13 #99
Today's thing is "every kid should learn the value of money". The book gave suggestions like have your child save and then give money to a charity, or buy a bond, or start a savings account. Well we only have 101 days to value money so we took a different look on it. One of the suggestions was to get your kids to notice the penny on the ground and be excited about picking it up and saving it. We took that one and altered it a little bit. We got a jar and we are saving any and all change that we get/find and we are saving it in this jar. At the end of our adventures we are going to take the money that we have saved and buy a memento from the trip that we are taking. As of right now we have about $2 in there. if you want to join us ans start saving your pennies and dimes and send them to our collection, all donations are gladly and happily accepted!
Day 12 #34
Today's thing was "every kid should write in a journal." As we originally read through the book we saw this one and thought 'meh that's no big deal' since we already both do that anyways. However, this all quickly changed as we began talking about how excited we were about this new book, and all of the fun things that we were going to do for it. Out of nowhere Shan (the very same Shan who HATES blogs for single people) said 'We should make a blog about it!' So there we sat at midnight, I having lesson plans to write and Shan needing sleep, and we created the blog 101thingsin101days. Shan is the one who originally set up the layout of the blog and then we both get to contribute to it. Depending on what each other has going on that day depends on who writes that day. I really like reading it when Shan writes because we definitely both have our own different styles of writing. So as you can see this a continuing adventure but it is one that we get to love, enjoy, and share everyday with you!
Day 11 #86
Today's thing was "every kid should have a personal library card". Well after taking an entire hour to try and get one I can see why it is so important to get them as kids, then maybe you won't have to go through the whole ordeal! So here's the story. . . We knew that in order to get a library card you needed to have proof of residency for living in Logan City Limits so in preparation for today we sent ourselves letters from the police department so that we would be all ready. So with our letters in hand we headed off to the library. As we were pulling out of our driveway Shan asked me where the library was and we realized that neither of us knew where it was, so we called the police department for directions. Once we finally got to the library Shan parked on the east side "knowing" that the front doors was near the street. Well all that was on the east side was two doors and a sign that said "This is not an entrance please use the west doors". Freak! So we walked clear over to the other side. We finally got in to the library and to the front desk to get our cards only to figure out that I am a ra-tard and I forgot a photo ID. So. . . . back in the car we got and drove clear back across town to get my ID. While we were driving it dawned on me that there was a small possibility that we technically don't live in Logan City. Well, rest assured we called the library and found out that we ARE in the city limits, but . . . we needed to have mail that WASN'T hand written (which Shan's was). ha thankfully we were already home so Shan found another piece of mail with the slightly wrong address on it and off we were again for the second time to try and get our cards. . . Fast forward five minutes and we were back to the library and parked on the correct side of the building and headed back in again to try for our cards a second time. This time it was a definite success! Shan and I are now the proud owners of Logan City Library cards!
Day 10 #82
Today's thing was "every kid should have a best friend". Well if this blog isn't evidence enough, let me help fill you in. . .this was is SO in the bag! Let me tell you how this friendship got started. . . Two years ago, summer was nearing and it was time for me to move yet again. I was super anxious to get a specific bedroom in my new apartment so I decided to go talk to the current residents and see what their plan was and when they were planning on moving out so I could move in two minutes later. Nervously I knocked on the door and forever my life was changed! One of the girls who was moving out answered and I started asking her some questions and then Shan came to the door and started talking to. The conversation that followed lasted for over thirty minutes but the Readers Digest version of it is that they were moving out to get away from a bad situation that I would have been moving in to. Apparently though, whatever I said convinced them that I was pretty cool, so they invited me to live with them right across the porch instead. So I did, and well you can figure out the rest. Two of the bestest friends EVER were formed!
Even though we already have a best friend we wanted to do something for this, so we went out and bought "Best Friend" bracelets. We headed to Claire's with great excitement for our new purchase. As we were in there trying to find the perfect one, these adorable little girls walked in who couldn't have been more than nine. With smiles on their faces, just as big as ours, they ran right up to the same rack we were looking at and they too started looking for the perfect necklace. haha! Yes, we felt slightly foolish but we didn't care because it was one of our 101 things and we were definitely best friends, just like these two little girls were.
Our sweet new bracelets.
What two best friends look like!
Day 9 #37
Today's thing is "every kid should possess a soft, cuddly stuffed animal, that they are never forced to give up because they're 'too old'". This definately applies to Kelli and I because well we are 'too old' at least as far as stuffed animals go. Anyways, Kelli and I went to Kohl's where they were having this great deal where you get a stuffed animal and a matching book written by Eric Carle the author of The Hungry Catapillar. They are really cute and as always we had fun getting them. . . mostly because we went to Starbucks for some hot cocoa afterwards (Logan is getting too cold).
This is my lady bug and book about a grumpy lady bug. Definately fits my personality because I am a bit cynical at times, maybe not grumpy but definately sarcastic and cynical.
Kelli's turtle and book. Written about a turtle who goes out in the cold. We thought it was fitting because it has been cold lately and Kelli has been sick.
