Today's thing is "every kid should attend a live performance". This one worked out really nice because for one of my classes I have to attend performances so this was like a two for one. Not only did it fulfill my class requirement but it also fit in to one of our 101 things. We decided to attend a performance put on by the school featuring the Vienna Piano Trio. They are from Vienna obviously and they have a pianist, a violinist, and a cellist. We did not really know what to expect so we were pretty optimistic going it to it, but in the end it was really bad. First of all we have never been to something like this so we did not realize that three songs with four movements for each song would last two hours. Not only that but they came in and warmed up with two songs for twenty minutes before they even started playing the first song. Also you are not suppose to clap in between movements because they actually stop between movements, but it is okay to clap at the end of each song, but it is hard to tell which is which. So basically Kelli and I were so confused as to what was happening because sometimes the audience would clap and sometimes they weren't. Moral of the story is that if this had not been for our 101 things and my class we would never have gone and we will probably never go again.
Kelli and I before the performance began.
Two hours later. . .
I believe at one point I compared the performance to being in a concentration camp.
